Our medical team conducts a thorough evaluation of your physical health, substance use history, and mental health needs. This assessment guides your individualized detox protocol.

Outpatient Programs
Flexible treatment options at our facility that let you continue recovery while maintaining work, school, or family responsibilities. Our outpatient programs provide a step-down continuum of care.
Partial Hospitalization (PHP)
Duration: 2 to 4 weeks
Schedule: 5 to 6 days per week, 6 hours per day
The most intensive outpatient level, PHP provides structured programming at our treatment center during the day while you return home in the evenings. Includes individual therapy, group therapy, medication management, and psychiatric support. Ideal as a step-down from residential treatment or for those who need intensive care but can safely live off-site.
Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
Duration: 8 to 12 weeks
Schedule: 3 to 5 days per week, 3 hours per day
IOP offers a balanced approach to treatment at our facility. You attend therapy sessions and group work several days per week while living at home and maintaining daily responsibilities. Our on-site therapists focus on relapse prevention, coping skills, and building long-term recovery habits. This level serves as a step-down from PHP or direct entry for moderate needs.
Standard Outpatient
Duration: Ongoing, as needed
Schedule: 1 to 2 sessions per week
Standard outpatient treatment provides continued therapeutic support as you transition back to independent living. Regular check-ins with your therapist at our facility, group sessions, and alumni programming help maintain accountability. This is the final step-down level before transitioning fully to alumni and community support.
Step-Down Approach to Recovery
Our outpatient programs follow a step-down model, gradually reducing the intensity of care as you build strength and confidence in your recovery. Many individuals progress from residential treatment to PHP, then IOP, and finally standard outpatient care.
This approach ensures that you never face a sudden drop in support. Our on-site clinical team adjusts your level of care based on your progress, so you always receive the right amount of structure and support at our treatment center in Atwater.
Dual Diagnosis Treatment
Integrated treatment for co-occurring substance use disorders and mental health conditions at our facility in Atwater, California.
What Is Dual Diagnosis?
Dual diagnosis refers to the presence of both a substance use disorder and a mental health condition at the same time. These conditions often fuel each other. Someone living with untreated depression may turn to substances to cope, while substance misuse can worsen anxiety and other mental health symptoms.
At our treatment center, we believe that treating only one condition leads to incomplete recovery. Our integrated approach addresses both conditions simultaneously, with our on-site psychiatric and clinical teams collaborating to create a comprehensive care plan.
Conditions We Treat Alongside Addiction
Depression
Evidence-based therapy and medication management for major depressive disorder, persistent depressive disorder, and related conditions.
Anxiety Disorders
Treatment for generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, and phobias using CBT, exposure therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches.
PTSD & Trauma
Trauma-informed care using EMDR, somatic experiencing, and cognitive processing therapy for post-traumatic stress and complex trauma.
Bipolar Disorder
Integrated psychiatric care with mood stabilization, medication management, and targeted therapy for bipolar I and bipolar II disorders.
Our Integrated Approach
At our treatment center, dual diagnosis care is not an add-on. It is woven into every aspect of treatment. Our on-site psychiatric team, therapists, and medical staff collaborate daily to ensure that both your mental health and substance use disorder receive equal attention throughout your time at our campus in Atwater.
